The key is to read Up to 0.02 mm as a manufacturer’s best-case specification, not a guaranteed result on every surface. Calibration, object finish, tracking stability, markers and operator technique all affect usable geometry.

Its blue-laser modes are designed to reduce spray use on black or metallic parts, while the single line targets deep holes and narrow gaps. No optical scanner eliminates occlusion or all surface preparation.

Capture is only half the workflow
CrealityScan 4 provides guided calibration, capture and point-cloud processing, with exports intended for inspection, reverse-engineering and mesh tools. Wireless operation requires a separate bridge.
Mesh export is not the same as editable CAD. Reverse-engineering projects may still require surface reconstruction, dimensional constraints and verification in separate software.

S1 is justified when one team regularly scans very different part sizes and needs professional volumetric specifications. It is excessive for occasional 3D-printing replicas.
