CREALITY / FIELD SALES WORKBENCH

From the object,
to the right scan

A practical conversation starter for scanner sales. Choose an application and build a workflow worth demonstrating.

SETUP / PREPARATION

Distance & capture

Blue laser: 150–400 mm; NIR: 170–1000 mm.

Calibrate → apply markers → capture coverage → detail passes → inspect alignment.

COMPUTER / WORKSTATION

Leave processing headroom

Suggested demo workstation: modern high-performance i7 / Ryzen 7, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD; consider 64 GB for large multi-pass work.

Planning guidance, not official minimums or a compatibility guarantee. Verify GPU, OS and software version for the exact model.Official compatibility guide ↗

TRIAL / WHAT TO VALIDATE

Demonstrate the difficult parts

  • Check continuous tracking, repeat alignment and complete edges.
  • Compare the raw mesh with the processed result so smoothing does not hide defects.
  • Agree STL / OBJ / PLY versus editable CAD; scan-to-CAD needs additional modeling.

CASE / TYPICAL WORKFLOW

Automotive · capture to delivery

Bumper capture → mounting-point checks → reverse modeling → trial fitting

When does the investment pay back?

Monthly net savings¥4,400
Simple payback4.5 months
Defaults are illustrative, not equipment quotes. Include labor, consumables, software and rework. Savings = jobs × (outsource − internal cost); payback = investment ÷ monthly savings. Excludes tax, financing and discounting.
