The key is to read Up to 0.05 mm as a manufacturer’s best-case specification, not a guaranteed result on every surface. Calibration, object finish, tracking stability, markers and operator technique all affect usable geometry.

Infrared structured light suits people, art and feature-rich objects. It is less specialized for shiny metal and crisp mechanical edges than blue-laser scanners, so preparation is more likely on difficult parts.

Scanning and processing happen on the device, with projects transferable to Revo Scan and common mesh formats. The 48 MP RGB camera is useful when color matters.
Mesh export is not the same as editable CAD. Reverse-engineering projects may still require surface reconstruction, dimensional constraints and verification in separate software.

Does MIRACO need a computer?
No for capture and onboard processing. A computer can still be used for file transfer and additional work.
Is MIRACO good for reverse engineering?
It can provide meshes for reconstruction, but laser scanners are usually better for dark metal, sharp edges and small mechanical details.
