Step by step

Complete the workflow in order

  1. 01

    Connect power and data in the documented order

    Use the standard-package wiring shown in the tutorial and confirm that Revo Metro identifies MetroX before starting a project

  2. 02

    Choose the mode from the object

    Start with full-field mode for feature-rich surfaces, use cross or parallel laser lines for fine mechanical geometry, and use turntable mode only when the object can remain stable

  3. 03

    Set exposure and working distance

    Keep the distance indicator in the recommended band and adjust exposure until the target is visible without clipping important edges

  4. 04

    Build overlapping coverage

    Move slowly enough to retain shared geometry or markers between frames, then add deliberate passes for holes, recesses and the underside

  5. 05

    Inspect before fusion

    Remove obvious background points, look for stepped alignment and confirm that separate passes agree before producing the mesh

  6. 06

    Check scale before CAD

    Measure a known feature in the exported result and record the scan mode, calibration state and software version with the project
