Sermoon P1 resolution and hybrid-mode test
A chaptered P1 review that separates handling, resolution, cumulative error, hybrid scanning, color capture and the final object gallery

Complete the workflow in order
- 01
Start in standalone mode
Complete the on-device setup and confirm enough battery and storage before beginning a project away from the computer
- 02
Calibrate with the board orientation visible
Scan the calibration-board code and match each on-screen pose, checking the marker orientation rather than forcing an incorrect position
- 03
Choose laser or NIR from the surface
Use a laser pattern with markers for engineering geometry and NIR for people or feature-rich organic objects where markerless capture is practical
- 04
Capture deliberate overlapping passes
Move at a steady speed, keep the distance indicator stable and add separate passes for holes, recesses and the underside
- 05
Review raw alignment before meshing
Look for duplicated edges, isolated points and missing cavities before fusion, smoothing or hole filling changes the evidence
- 06
Transfer and verify the deliverable
Use the documented sharing workflow, open the exported file on the destination computer and verify scale, orientation and completeness
Do not stop at a green button
Check the result before relying on it
The scanner is calibrated for the current setup
The mode matches the object and marker plan
Raw passes align without ghost copies
The transferred mesh opens and preserves a checked dimension
