Complete the workflow in order
- 01
Calibrate before the first project
Complete every requested board position and repeat any rejected pose instead of proceeding with an incomplete calibration

Create a controlled first scan
Use a rigid object, diffuse lighting and a steady distance so the first pass can expose tracking or exposure problems
- 03
Preserve overlap around the object
Move slowly while keeping previously captured geometry visible, especially around long edges and repeated surface features

Save the first position before moving the object
Finish a coherent pass, then reposition the object only when the project state has been retained for later alignment

Align the second position without forcing it
Use shared geometry or other documented alignment information and reject any result that produces doubled edges or shifted openings

Inspect and verify before export
Review raw coverage, fusion and mesh settings, then compare one known dimension and record the software version with the output

Check the result before relying on it
Calibration completes without a warning
